Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Iti Malia (ranked 893 p4p, 123 weight class) and Derrick Johnson (ranked 463 p4p, 64 weight class). Iti Malia could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Derrick Johnson's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Derrick Johnson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Johnson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Malia counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Johnson tries for a takedown but Malia circles away easily
and Malia counters with a lovely straight right hand!
A big right from Malia misses.
Johnson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Johnson looks to throw the jab but Malia is out of range.
Johnson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Malia sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Johnson somewhat.
Malia throwing a counter right hand but Johnson manages to avoid it.
Johnson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Johnson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Malia swivels and escapes.
Iti Malia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Derrick Johnson.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnson throws a hook but Malia avoids it easily.
A slow jab from Malia misses its intended target.

Malia lands a big right hand that sends Johnson crashing to the mat! Malia stays standing though and waves Johnson back to his feet!

Johnson has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Malia moves out of range of the strikes.
Malia throws a body shot but no joy.
Johnson with the counter takedown but Malia avoids it easily.

Malia sends Johnson crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Malia is motioning to the referee to let Johnson up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Johnson is still on wobbly legs! Can Malia finish him?

Malia knocks out Johnson with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Malia before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Malia picks up the big W with a huge KO!
