Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stojan Kostic (ranked 287 p4p, 40 weight class) and Johnny Lawrence (ranked 300 p4p, 42 weight class). Kostic comes into the arena with Skabo - Mare batice blaring out of the sound system. Lawrence comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Sweep the Leg kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Stojan Kostic!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Johnny Lawrence!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Daniel Franklin and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawrence gets a clinch.
I was talking to Kostic's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Lawrence working aggressively here.
Lawrence throws a punch but it's blocked by Kostic.
Kostic is trying to pull guard but Lawrence has him pressed against the cage.
Lawrence misses with a punch on the inside.
Kostic gets control of Lawrence's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kostic will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Lawrence wants to control from the top but Kostic keeps moving.
Kostic working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lawrence doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lawrence manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Lawrence trying to control the position from guard on top but Kostic is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kostic has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lawrence can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Kostic not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Lawrence really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kostic. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lawrence is sitting in close to Kostic's body. Kostic has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Lawrence is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Lawrence is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Kostic.

Stojan Kostic is the new welterweight champion!
A relieved looking Stojan Kostic thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
The defeated Johnny Lawrence had this to say: 'Hey Johnny! You're a cream puff!'.
