The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Big Daddy decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Nicholson is holding on to half guard well.
Nicholson manages to get to full guard.
Nicholson is pulling down on Big Daddy's head to control his posture.
Big Daddy is stalling in the full guard.
Nicholson has a closed guard, preventing Big Daddy from standing up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Big Daddy trying to control the position from guard on top but Nicholson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Nicholson has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Big Daddy is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Nicholson.
Nicholson is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.
Big Daddy wants to stand but Nicholson is controlling his arm.
Nicholson manages to get back to half guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Big Daddy seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Nicholson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Nicholson is pressing down on Big Daddy's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Nicholson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Big Daddy wants to control from the top but Nicholson keeps moving.
Nicholson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Nicholson seems keen to control Big Daddy's posture.

Nicholson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Big Daddy can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Big Daddy looking to sit in guard and control but Nicholson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Nicholson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Nicholson is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Big Daddy is trying to control the position but Nicholson postures up.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Big Daddy can do anything to dispel that myth.
Big Daddy is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Nicholson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Nicholson postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Nicholson throws a strike but Big Daddy rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Oh but Nicholson is tightening it up a little... Big Daddy has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Big Daddy reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Big Daddy taps out! Nice BJJ there by Nicholson!
