Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jan Molby (ranked 3436 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jefferson Cooley (ranked 6178 p4p, 0 weight class). Jefferson Cooley will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Colin Fray and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Cooley misses.
Molby connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Molby turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Cooley rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Molby moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Molby drives through and clinches with Cooley against the cage.
Molby tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Molby is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Molby lands with a short shot to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cooley wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Cooley blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Molby obliges.
Molby breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Molby throws a nice outside leg kick.
Cooley fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Molby feinted with a counter takedown.
Molby misses with a jab, cross combination.
A little jabbing left from Cooley on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Cooley just misses with a punch to the body.
Molby shoots in and bounces Cooley off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Molby keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Cooley's head.
Cooley has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Cozad MMA Hilo. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Cooley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Molby. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Molby pushes down on Cooley's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Cooley is trying to stand back up but Molby is controlling him
Molby frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Molby pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cooley can do anything to dispel that myth.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Molby cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Molby lands with some strikes.
Molby landing punches.
Cooley is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Molby lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Cooley hang on?
Cooley is rocked!
Molby drops a big elbow. That's hurt Cooley! More shots from Molby and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jan Molby!
In his post fight interview, Jan Molby started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
