Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kuai Liang (ranked 5125 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Hernandez (ranked 5033 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hernandez sizes up Liang with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Liang looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hernandez is fending him off so far but Liang persists. Nope, Hernandez circles away and we're back to standing.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Hernandez struggles to land a body shot inside as Liang controls his hands.

Liang breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Hernandez unleashes a big counter combination but Liang bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Hernandez wants to sweep but no luck.

Liang's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Liang is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Liang stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
A jab from Hernandez misses.
Liang tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hernandez swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hernandez flicks out a counter leg kick but Liang steps away.
Hernandez stuffs the takedown attempt from Liang. Liang gets slowly back to his feet.

Liang shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hernandez 's guard.

Liang wants to work for an arm triangle but Hernandez is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Liang has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Hernandez 's body.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Liang has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Liang tries to pull guard but Hernandez holds him up against the cage and eventually Liang drops back down to his feet.

Liang seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hernandez for as long as he can get away with.
Liang lands a couple of good shots and Hernandez has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Liang, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
