The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carp misses with a looping right.
Bony is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Carp creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Bony's defenses.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Carp perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Bony is still in real trouble! Can Carp finish him?

Carp is looking for a kimura here.
Bony seems to have recovered his senses.
Carp controlling the pace.
Carp tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bony knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Carp tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Carp has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Carp slows the pace down.

Bony tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Carp wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Carp is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bony is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carp wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bony keeps working.
Carp is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Bony will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Carp fails to land a wild elbow strike.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Carp wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bony keeps working.
Carp creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Carp wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bony, who protects the arm well.
Carp just content to control the position.
Carp trying to control the position but Bony is working away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carp darts in and clinches Bony up against the cage.

Carp creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Bony's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Bony drops to his knees and Carp pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jon Paul Carp!
