The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Demmick dives in and scores a takedown into Kidd's guard.

Kidd manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Demmick wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Kidd tries to pull guard but Demmick won't allow it.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Demmick lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kidd has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kidd and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Demmick throws a front kick aimed at Kidd's knee but Kidd avoids it well.
Demmick fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Kidd checks it well.
As Demmick tries to get set, Kidd tries to push him back and clinch up but Demmick manages to avoid the attempt.
