Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Brown (ranked 5056 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zack Meachum (ranked 5592 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Zack Meachum!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brown shoots in and bounces Meachum off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Meachum looking for a sweep. Not yet Meachum, not yet.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Meachum is on top in guard.

Brown is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Meachum defends well.

Brown has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Meachum can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Meachum slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Meachum seems keen to control Brown's posture.

Brown is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Meachum scores with a couple of nice shots.

Meachum must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Brown working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Meachum doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Meachum manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Brown has his foot on Meachum's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Meachum works his way back into a safe position though.

Brown feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Meachum pulls Brown in close to his closed guard and prevents Brown from doing any damage or advancing position.

Meachum wants to sweep here but Brown controlling him for the moment.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Antonio Brown.
Well Meachum has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
