Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, William Hood!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Foster!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Hood or perhaps it was just good defense by Foster, which made it look bad.

Hood tries to keep at a distance but Foster has taken the fight into the clinch.
Hood will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Foster up against the cage.
Hood is looking to break free of the clinch but Foster has double underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Foster tries to land knees in the clinch but Hood avoids the damage to the body.

Foster has hold of one of Hood's legs. Hood is fighting the takedown attempt but Foster gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Foster trying to control the position from guard on top but Hood is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Foster landing some decent shots from guard.
Foster postures up in Hood's guard and throws a big left but Hood blocks it.
Hood knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Foster on the ground.
Foster is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Foster wants to control from the top but Hood keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Foster controlling from the top position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Foster closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Hood tries to kick Foster off in order to stand up. Foster Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Foster tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Foster wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hood keeps working.
Foster cracks Hood with a big elbow.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hood is trying to escape the position but Foster is controlling the position.

Foster wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hood, who protects the arm well.

Foster stands up.

Foster closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hood's guard.
Foster lands a couple of digs.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Foster stands and throws Hood's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Foster wants to control but Hood is keeping him busy.
Foster happy to just control the position for now.
It looks like Foster might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hood prevents Foster from improving position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Foster dominated that round.
The cut man is working on William Hood's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Foster closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hood's guard.
Foster works over Hood with some ground and pound from guard.

Foster drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Foster jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Foster is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Foster trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Mike Foster has got the better of the ground game so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Foster is pushing down on Hood's leg trying to pass to half guard. Hood is fighting to maintain full guard but Foster has managed to sneak the leg through.

Foster is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Foster perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Foster wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hood keeps working.
Foster has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Foster maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Hood could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Foster has cracked it and Hood is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Foster!
