PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hellas Pankratios (ranked 719 p4p, 39 weight class) and Elvis Astrok (ranked 598 p4p, 24 weight class). Astrok is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Janna - Täyteen vaan. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Pankratios misses.
Astrok swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
The crowd cheers as Astrok lands an impressive looking overhand right. Pankratios doesn't seem phased though.

Astrok forces Pankratios back against the cage and clinches.
Pankratios tries to pull guard but Astrok forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Pankratios goes for a takedown in the clinch but Astrok prevents it.
Astrok lands a shoulder strike.
A head punch on the inside from Astrok fails to land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Astrok scores with a shoulder strike.
Astrok lands a left hand that snaps the head of Pankratios backwards.
Astrok is pressed up against the cage. Pankratios has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Astrok down to the mat. Astrok avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hellas Pankratios. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Astrok cracks Pankratios with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Astrok has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Pankratios to stand back up!

Pankratios bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Astrok comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Pankratios falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Pankratios was out before he hit the floor!

Elvis Astrok decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
