Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Davi Araujo (ranked 4607 p4p, 361 weight class) and Arnao Vanegas (ranked 5770 p4p, 403 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vanegas works the jab nicely.
Araujo looks to land a left hand but Vanegas moved out of range nicely.

Vanegas looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Araujo throws a body shot but no joy.
Araujo feints and then cracks Vanegas's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Vanegas down.
Vanegas uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Araujo.

Vanegas moves into range and connects with a jab.
Araujo loads up on a big right hand but Vanegas slips the punch.
A little jabbing left from Vanegas on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Araujo lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Vanegas uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Araujo.

and Vanegas counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Vanegas feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Araujos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Araujo drops his hands momentarily and Vanegas takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

and Vanegas counters with a huge left! Araujo is in big trouble! He's backing up but Vanegas isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Araujo from any more damage. A dominating finish by Vanegas!

After the fight, Arnao Vanegas was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
