The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakamoto tries for a takedown but Van circles away easily
and Van counters with a nice uppercut.
Sakamoto shoots in for a takedown but Van shows good takedown defense.
Nice sprawl there from Van as Sakamoto shoots in.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Takuya Sakamoto. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sakamoto looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Van is looking for a triangle but Sakamoto pushes his legs off easily.
Van escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sakamoto gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Van is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sakamoto defends well.
Van has his feet on Sakamoto's thighs here. He's pushed Sakamoto off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Sakamoto screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
