The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernandez De Calderon smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Coker takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Coker displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Fernandez De Calderon throws out the jab.

Coker went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Fernandez De Calderon closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Coker has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fernandez De Calderon is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Fernandez De Calderon working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
Fernandez De Calderon lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Coker quite badly. Coker pulls Fernandez De Calderon in close trying to recover. Fernandez De Calderon postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Coker on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Coker doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
