Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alphonse Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Danny Reed!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Aleksandr Martynov and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reed lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Miller slips a jab and a cross from Reed.
Reed scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Miller moves into the clinch successfully.
Miller drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Reed is trying to break the clinch but Miller is controlling him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Miller goes for a takedown attempt but Reed pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Miller tries to clinch but Reed moves out of range.
Reed throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Miller decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Reed's guard.
Miller content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Miller is standing up over Reed. Reed looks to escape but Miller dives into side control.
Reed is trying to buck Miller off.
The ground and pound from Miller seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Reed is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Miller is controlling him well.

Reed defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Miller.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Miller breaks from Reed's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Miller lands a big shot there that rocks Reed but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Reed tries to buck Miller off but he can't manage it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Miller goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Reed turns into him and now he's in Miller's guard.
Reed throws an elbow that misses. Miller uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Reed's guard. Nice move by Miller!

Reed is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Reed is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Miller presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Reed looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Miller keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Reed's efforts to push away.
Reed avoiding damage as Miller throws knees to the body.

Miller tightens his grip and picks Reed up, before dumping him to the ground. Reed manages to land in guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Reed clinches up with Miller and pushes him back against the cage.
Reed trying to control the position but instead, Miller has worked for underhooks and has pushed Reed into the cage.
Miller tries to score a body lock takedown but Reed shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Miller is working an open guard so Reed takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Reed looks to land a combination but Miller avoids it well.

Reed closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Miller to the mat! Miller manages to get full guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Miller shoots in but Reed avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Miller moves into range and clinches up with Reed.
Miller could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Miller fails to pull guard.
Reed tries to break the clinch but Miller is controlling the position.
Miller keeps control of Reed as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Reed gets underhooks to prevent Miller's takedown attempt.
Miller tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Reed just stands there and leans against the cage.

Reed shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Miller napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Alphonse Miller overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Reed goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Miller rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Reed's guard! Nice work there by Miller!
Miller postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fighters are working up against the cage. Reed manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Reed wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Miller has him pressed against the cage.
Miller is looking to take this one to the mat.
Miller pushes off an throws an elbow but Reed leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Reed wants to break the clinch but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Danny Reed showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Miller has Reed pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Reed manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Miller shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Reed pinned against the cage. Reed gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Reed throws a right and a left that both miss.
Reed's jab looks to have found its range, popping Miller under the eye.
Reed throws a right hand that Miller ducks under and follows up with a left that Miller also avoids with ease.

Reed has taken the fight to the clinch.

Reed manages to pull guard.
Miller keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Reed's head.
Reed wants to get back to his feet but Miller is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Miller landing with the ground and pound.
Reed has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Miller postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

And that's the end of the fight!
Danny Reed comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Reed has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
