Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mario Salinas (ranked 5168 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Dumile (ranked 6331 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Daniel Dumile enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mario Salinas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Daniel Dumile!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Atkins and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dumile closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Salinas is looking to get back to is feet but Dumile passes into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Dumile moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Dumile wants to control but Salinas is keeping him busy.
Who's going to make the next move?
Salinas gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Salinas trying to hold on to Dumile's head to control him but Dumile postures up.
Salinas is trying to control but Dumile passes into side control!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Salinas keeps Dumile under control for a moment.
Dumile scores with a couple of short elbows.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Salinas is looking to reverse the position.
You can see the frustration on Salinas's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Salinas tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
Salinas is wriggling around trying to escape.
Salinas wants to control but Dumile is having none of it.
Salinas is squirming around, avoiding Dumile's attempts to control the action.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dumile prevents Salinas from getting the reversal.
Salinas reaches up to try and control the position but Dumile seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Salinas rolls and tries to escape and now Dumile has his back!
Salinas can't escape the position.
What can Salinas do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Dumile has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Salinas has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Dumile tries to keep control of the position but Salinas is staying busy.
Salinas tries to break free.
Dumile controlling the position well here. Salinas rolled but Dumile kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Dumile is not going to allow Salinas to sit and survive in this position.
Our spies down at at Tycoon Gym inform us that Dumile has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Dumile is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Salinas. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.

Oooh a big shot gets through from Dumile. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Salinas just trying to survive but Dumile is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Dumile is riding his opponent, not letting Salinas buck him off.
Salinas wants to control his opponent's hands but Dumile gets his hands free.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Dumile controlling the positon.
Salinas trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.

Daniel Dumile dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Dumile feints and as Salinas raises his hands in defense, Dumile changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Dumile must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Dumile not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Salinas is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Salinas has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dumile is working away from the top position though.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mario Salinas is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Salinas shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Daniel Dumile has got the better of the ground game so far.

Dumile had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Salinas defends it easily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Salinas content to stall in guard here.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mario Salinas will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Salinas shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Salinas winds up and cracks Dumile with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Dumile is trying to control but can't.
Dumile has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Salinas throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Dumile is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Salinas is looking for a kimura but Dumile is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Salinas to get the leverage.
Salinas seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Salinas is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Dumile sees it coming and defends easily.
Dumile is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Salinas is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Dumile is trying to maintain the position but Salinas is very close to passing his half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Dumile is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Salinas fails to land the takedown.
Salinas has his takedown stuffed

and Dumile holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Salinas swings wildly with an uppercut but Dumile uses good head movement to avoid it.
Dumile blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
A head punch on the inside from Salinas fails to land.

Salinas pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Salinas gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Dumile counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mario Salinas. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Dumile looking to score a takedown here. Salinas is defending well but Dumile drives through and ends up in Salinas's guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Salinas manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Dumile has Salinas pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Dumile pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Salinas tumbling to the mat - Dumile dives into Salinas's guard.

Salinas is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Dumile tries to stand but Salinas is controlling from the bottom.
Salinas has momentary wrist control but Dumile slips an elbow through the middle.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Salinas has his hands on Dumile's head, controlling the position.

Dumile slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Dumile's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Salinas keeping moving, preventing Dumile from controlling successfully.
Salinas throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Dumile postures up.
Dumile landing some decent shots from guard.
Salinas has a closed guard, preventing Dumile from standing up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dumile controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mario Salinas.
I think Salinas has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
