Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sam Hyde (ranked 6610 p4p, 0 weight class) and Crack Addict (ranked 24961 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Addict gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
I was talking to Hyde's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Addict working aggressively here.

Hyde's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Addict wants to clinch up but Hyde keeps it at a distance.
Addict shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Hyde eats them both and turns towards Addict to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Hyde has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Hyde there as he acknowledges the shot.
Addict fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hyde looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Hyde clinches with his opponent.
Hyde is trying to drag Addict to the mat but Addict just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Addict breaks the clinch.
Addict fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hyde throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Addict has taken the fight to the clinch.

Addict tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Addict tries to clinch there but Hyde circles away.

Addict looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Hyde closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Hyde fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Addict sprawls well initially but Hyde persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Hyde stands up and beckons Addict to join him on the feet.
Hyde slips a jab and a cross from Addict.
Addict throws a combination that misses
and Hyde counters with a head kick. That will keep Addict thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Addict tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Hyde was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Addict lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Crack Addict is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Addict fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hyde manages to avoid it.
Jab, jab by Addict - just one landing.
Addict is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Addict doesn't manage to clinch there - Hyde circles away.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Addict enables Hyde to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Addict manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Addict looks winded!

Hyde drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Hyde seems to have locked his on tight now - Addict screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Hyde, as he picks up the win!
