Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kelvin Grant!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sun Tanashi!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shirou Masuda and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanashi tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Grant is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Tanashi.
Sun Tanashi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Oooooh!!! Tanashi has knocked Grant down with a huge combo! Tanashi steps away and waves a wobbly Grant back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


It looks like Kelvin Grant has been cut.

Tanashi closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Grant did well to prevent Tanashi getting side control.


Grant is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Tanashi decides to stand up.
Oh Grant is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Tanashi has taken the fight to the clinch.

Tanashi wants the takedown. Grant is fighting it off but Tanashi persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Grant's guard against the cage.
Tanashi should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Grant will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Tanashi is stalling in the full guard.

Grant is looking for a triangle but Tanashi pushes his legs off easily.
Tanashi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Grant. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Grant escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tanashi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Grant seems to have got his legs back now.

Tanashi avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Grant working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tanashi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tanashi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Tanashi is posturing up here but Grant has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Tanashi tries to roll out but it's too tight and Tanashi has to tap! Slick submission there by Grant!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Kelvin Grant!
