The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Ron Honeybunn and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tantor lands a glancing blow to the side of Thompson's head.

It looks like Lachlan Thompson has been cut.
Thompson misses with a body kick.
Tantor connects with a single shot there.
Tantor cracks Thompson with a right hand to the side of the head.
Thompson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Thompson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Tantor cracks Thompson with a good jab.

Thompson is rocked!

Thompson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Thompson showed some decent athleticism there.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Thompson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Thompson decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Tantor sizes up Thompson with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Tantor is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Thompson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Papi Tantor is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Tantor connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Thompson is still on wobbly legs! Can Tantor finish him?

Thompson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Tantor to the ground. Thompson is now in Tantor's guard.
Thompson seems to have recovered his senses.
Tantor wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Thompson drives through with a takedown into guard.

Thompson wants to pass the guard but Tantor is keeping the position.
Tantor really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Thompson trying to control the position from guard on top but Tantor is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Thompson takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Thompson tries to close the distance and clinch but Tantor swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Tantor thuds a left hand into Thompson's body.
Thompson takes a jab right on the kisser.

That has opened up Lachlan Thompson's cut even more.
Nice uppercut there from Tantor.
Thompson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Tantor's corner calls for a 1-2. Tantor obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Tantor connects with a right hand. Thompson shakes it off.

The cut above Lachlan Thompson's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Tantor sends Thompson crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Tantor is motioning to the referee to let Thompson up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tantor wobbles Thompson with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Tantor dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Thompson to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!
