The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suarez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Petrovic tries to avoid it but Suarez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Petrovic to the ground. Petrovic escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Petrovic shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Suarez is trying hard to land a takedown here. Petrovic sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Petrovic! But no joy.

Marko Petrovic showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Petrovic is stalling here. Suarez is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Petrovic seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Suarez has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

You can see the frustration on Petrovic's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Suarez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Suarez thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Petrovic is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Suarez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
