The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Jones tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Holloway swivels and escapes.
Holloway went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Holloway closes the distance and pushes Jones back into the cage.
Jones wants to get back to striking at distance but Holloway won't allow it.

Holloway ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Holloway no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Holloway's waist but Holloway gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jones off to one side.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Holloway's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Bryan Holloway overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Holloway has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Holloway seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jones for as long as he can get away with.
