Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Garaile Lban (ranked 896 p4p, 111 weight class) and Sydney Thift (ranked 3411 p4p, 388 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Sydney Thift was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thift shoots and misses
and Lban counters with a straight right hand.
Lban punishes Thift's body with a nice straight punch.
Thift throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Lban counter with a right hand.
Sydney Thift seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thift uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lban.
Lban clobbers Thift with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Thift takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Nice straight punches there by Lban. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Lban.
Thift throws a leg kick
and Lban counters with a right hand to the body.
Thift tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lban swivels and escapes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Lban lands a left and a right that send Thift crashing to the mat, dazed. Lban thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Thift is rocked!
Lban darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Thift's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Lban before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
