The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Harper counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Horrible takedown attempt by Corbett or perhaps it was just good defense by Harper, which made it look bad.

Corbett drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Harper manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Corbett has Harper in his guard.

Harper seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Harper's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
