Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kennith Watts (ranked 23708 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Vincent (ranked 7081 p4p, 0 weight class). Vincent is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Final Episode. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kennith Watts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryan Vincent!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vincent looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Watts pushes Vincent off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Watts misses with a combination

and Vincent counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Vincent content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Watts gets full guard.
Vincent wants to stand but Watts is controlling his posture from full guard.

Watts has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Vincent has passed into side control.
Watts tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Vincent wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Vincent landing strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vincent goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Watts rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Vincent's guard! Nice work there by Watts!

Vincent wants to stand and escape but Watts is having none of it.
Vincent is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.


Vincent is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Watts is just riding it out for now. Vincent eventually gives up the hold.
Watts is looking for a sweep. Vincent is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Still in half guard, Vincent seems content to control.
Watts is trying to get back to full guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Vincent can do anything to dispel that myth.

Vincent is refusing to be controlled, as Watts sits in half guard.
Vincent is looking to control Watts's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Vincent avoid being mounted?

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Sloppy strikes from Vincent. Those never looked like landing.
It looked like Watts was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Watts circles away from the clinch attempt.

Watts avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Vincent scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Vincent tries to pass the half guard into mount. Watts knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Watts is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Still in half guard, Vincent seems content to control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Watts is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Vincent's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Vincent's back!

Ryan Vincent showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Watts throws a head kick but Vincent moves out of range.
Vincent fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Vincent rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Watts moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Watts stuffs the takedown.

Vincent has Watts up against the cage in a clinch.
Watts is looking to break free of the clinch but Vincent has double underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Watts crunches a lovely knee into Vincent's ribcage.
Watts avoiding damage as Vincent throws knees to the body.

Vincent's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

A head kick misses from Watts.
Watts tries to land a leg kick but Vincent saw it coming and moves away.
Vincent drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Watts defends it well.

Watts fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Vincent, pushing him back against the cage.

Watts pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Watts misses with a leg kick

and Vincent counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Vincent stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Watts swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Watts is looking for a triangle here but Vincent uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Vincent wants to control but Watts is keeping him busy.
Vincent tries to advance to mount but can't.
Watts is trying to work for a sweep but Vincent has mounted him!

Vincent content to control rather than advance.

Watts is looking for a sweep. Vincent is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Watts is in trouble now - Vincent has advanced to mount!

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Vincent lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Watts hang on?
Watts is trying to escape the mount.
Vincent lands a big shot there that rocks Watts but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Vincent manages to capitalize on a mistake by Watts to take his back!
Oh Watts is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Watts is trying to defend against the choke here but Vincent has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Vincent Tightens the hold and Watts taps out furiously! Vincent displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
