PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sherman Moore (ranked 4611 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Krawinski (ranked 3929 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sherman Moore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dan Krawinski!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Sano and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Moore takes the fight into the clinch.
Moore could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Krawinski wants to break the clinch but can't.
Moore keeps control of Krawinski as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Moore misses with a body punch.

Krawinski ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Krawinski no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Krawinski felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Krawinski is looking to get to half guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Moore has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Krawinski's face.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Krawinski closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Moore is looking to control Krawinski's arms but Krawinski gets an underhook and turns him. Now Moore has his back to the cage.

Moore's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Krawinski throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Krawinski wants to stand up but Moore is controlling him.

Krawinski has his foot on Moore's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Moore works his way back into a safe position though.

Moore cracks Krawinski with a solid left hand.
Moore stands up over Krawinski, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Krawinski wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Moore manages to pass to side control.
Krawinski is breathing heavily.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Moore in particular looking to stall.
Moore passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Krawinski!

Moore lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
