Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Richard Kuklinski (ranked 1954 p4p, 255 weight class) and Robbie White (ranked 3016 p4p, 355 weight class). Kuklinski has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Richard Kuklinski has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Richard Kuklinski!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robbie White!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, David Schapiro and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kuklinski stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
White jabs Kuklinski to the body, keeping him at a distance.
White swinging wildly here.
White lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts White, as that shot connected.
Kuklinski definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
White cracks Kuklinski with a good jab.
White uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
No joy there for White, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kuklinski tries to counter with a takedown but White is quick to defend against it.
White throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kuklinski feinted with a counter takedown.
White throws a nice looking combination but Kuklinski bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kuklinski attempts a counter takedown but White avoids it well and moves away.
White throws a right hand that Kuklinski ducks under and follows up with a left that Kuklinski also avoids with ease.
Kuklinski appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kuklinski has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kuklinski there as he acknowledges the shot.
Kuklinski is on the wrong end of a nice combination from White.
Kuklinski is breathing heavily.
White throws a body shot but no joy.
Kuklinski drops down looking for a counter takedown but White sprawls and moves away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
White lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kuklinski circles away quickly and effectively.
Kuklinski attempts a counter takedown but White avoids it well and moves away.
White cracks Kuklinski with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
White lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
White throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

so Kuklinski counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
White wants to stand up but Kuklinski is controlling him.
White really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kuklinski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kuklinski postures up in White's guard and throws a big left but White blocks it.
Kuklinski throws a big elbow that misses.
Kuklinski content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Kuklinski has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kuklinski stops White from standing up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kuklinski missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
White has momentary wrist control but Kuklinski slips an elbow through the middle.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if White can do anything to dispel that myth.
Kuklinski gets to his feet and stands over White, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! White felt that one! Kuklinski unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save White from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Richard Kuklinski!
