Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dzoko Dzoker (ranked 3370 p4p, 142 weight class) and Jer Bear (ranked 4405 p4p, 182 weight class). Bear is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Good Times. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 33 - 0, fighting out of London, Dzoko Dzoker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 36 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jer Bear!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Nard Betker and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bear bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Sloppy strikes from Dzoker. Those never looked like landing.
Bear throws a sloppy head kick and Dzoker moves out of range easily.
Dzoker takes one on the button.

Dzoker manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bear on his heels. He'll look to pass Bear's guard now, I'm sure.

Bear kicks Dzoker off and gets to his feet.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Bear.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dzoker fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Bear stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bear wants it to stay on the feet.
Dzoker changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bear tries to avoid it but Dzoker manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bear to the ground. Bear escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dzoko Dzoker. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bear swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Dzoker.
Dzoker needs to keep his hands up - Bear had a free shot at his head there.
Bear connects with a good right hand that stumbles Dzoker. Dzoker circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

We've been informed that Bear has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Bear lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Both fighters circling a little - Bear finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Bear enables Dzoker to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bear manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Bear working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dzoker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dzoker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Dzoker throws an elbow that misses. Bear uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dzoker's guard. Nice move by Bear!

Dzoker has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bear gets to his feet - Dzoker follows without any prompting.
Dzoker shoots in but no luck this time.
Dzoker avoids a punch combination nicely.
A little feinted left hand from Dzoker on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Bear scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Bear's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Bear duly obliges.
Dzoker darts in looking for a takedown but Bear gets double underhooks and turns Dzoker into the cage.
Bear lands with a nice combination. Dzoker backs away looking to recover.
Dzoker tries to bum rush Bear with a series of wild strikes but Bear uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Nice uppercut lands for Bear. That snapped Dzoker's head back.
Bear throws a one two combo.


It looks like Dzoko Dzoker has been cut.
Bear is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Dzoker had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bear feints and as Dzoker raises his hands in defense, Bear changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Bear is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dzoker defends well.

Bear wants to take a breather but Dzoker is having none of it.

Bear throws a strike but Dzoker avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Bear is pushing down on Dzoker's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dzoker is fighting to maintain full guard but Bear has managed to sneak the leg through.

Bear seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dzoker does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Dzoker has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bear is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are battling for position here. Dzoker manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
No joy there for Bear, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Dzoker shoots in for a takedown but Bear shows good takedown defense.
Bear looks to land a combination. Dzoker sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Bear. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Dzoker looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Bear with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Dzoker tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bear sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dzoker somewhat.

Bear looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Bear goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Dzoker shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bear as he avoids it easily.
Bear catches Dzoker with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

and Bear counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Nice uppercut lands for Bear. That snapped Dzoker's head back.

Bear lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Bear. Dzoker shrugs it off though.
Bear feints a jab promting Dzoker to slip. Bear then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Dzoker slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Dzoker throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bear was covering up waiting for the punch and Dzoker finishes the takedown easily into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bear wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Dzoker postures up in Bear's guard and throws a big left but Bear blocks it.

Bear manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dzoker manages to get himself to full guard.

Dzoker takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Dzoker closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Bear is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Dzoker's half guard.

The fighters circle momentarily. Bear darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Bear lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Dzoker throws the kick towards the body but Bear avoids it.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Jer Bear comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bear has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
