Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Jacques Durand (ranked 19002 p4p, 158 weight class) and Vincent McGuire (ranked 21462 p4p, 163 weight class). Durand's entrance music is Kaaris - S.E.V.R.A.N.. A fine choice. McGuire has chosen Chosen | JESUS | Indiana Bible College as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacques Durand!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Vincent McGuire!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Felipe Paraventi and Thiago Cunha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGuire uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Durand.
McGuire let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
A jab from McGuire misses.
McGuire throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Durand on the side of the head.
Durand throws a sloppy head kick and McGuire moves out of range easily.
McGuire lands with an uppercut that bounces Durand off the ropes and back into range.

It looks like Jacques Durand has been cut.
Durand throws a head kick that McGuire semi-blocks.
Durand on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Durand has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from McGuire finds it's way round the side to connect with Durand's head.

McGuire lands with a short punch from the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McGuire avoids the elbow strike from Durand, against the ropes.

McGuire is trying to push Durand away but Durand has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.

Durand breaks the clinch.
Durand misses with a low kick as McGuire jumps back.
Durand works the jab nicely.
McGuire misses with a two punch combination.
McGuire takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

McGuire shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
McGuire throws a shot from downtown. Durand moves away and avoids it.
It looked like Durand wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Durand lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and McGuire has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from McGuire and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Durand quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
McGuire misses the shot to the body.

Durand lands with a kick to the temple. McGuire shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Durand has McGuire up against the ropes in a clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for McGuire.
McGuire makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Durand tries a knee to the head but McGuire blocks it.
McGuire misses with a short punch on the inside.
McGuire misses with a hook from the clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Durand creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Durand pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
McGuire connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Crunch! Durand slams his shin into McGuire's torso.
McGuire misses the body punch
and Durand counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
McGuire scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
McGuire slips a straight right by Durand.
Durand lands a head kick. McGuire smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
McGuire throws a hook but Durand avoids it easily.
Durand is looking to counter the offense by McGuire and move into the clinch.

McGuire misses with a hook
and Durand connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

McGuire takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
McGuire tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Durand was well out of range. Poor timing from McGuire.

That was a close round but I would say that Jacques Durand will probably get the nod.

and Durand connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Durand swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Durand lands a front kick.
Durand throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Durand moves into range and clinches up with McGuire.
Durand lands a knee to the body.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Durand.

Durand drops McGuire with a big knee! Will McGuire beat the count? Yep, he's up already and we're only at 3... let's see if he's just faking it or if he's actually OK.
McGuire is breathing heavily.

Durand is controlling McGuire's neck. Durand unleashes a big knee up the middle! And another! McGuire goes down! Can he beat the count? 3,4,5,6... he's not going to make it! 9,10. It's all over!
