Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tonon shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. The Man manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The Man pulls Tonon in to control the position.
Tonon in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

The Man has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Tonon is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for The Man.
The Man tries to improve position but can't.
Tonon wants to control but The Man is keeping him busy.
The Man wants to control but Tonon postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The Man is looking for a sweep.

Tonon has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
The Man throws a jab when Tonon was well out of range.
We've been hearing reports that Tonon has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
The Man stuffs the takedown.

The Man bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The Man wants to control but Tonon is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The Man throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Tonon tries to bench press The Man off him but The Man keeps the position.
The Man creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Tonon sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Tonon tries to buck The Man off but The Man is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The Man lands a few punches from side control.

The Man goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Tonon has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for The Man but great work by Tonon.

The Man is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Tonon's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Tonon! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and The Man has tapped! This one is allllll over!
