Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stephan Letter (ranked 355 p4p, 50 weight class) and Jay Uzo (ranked 569 p4p, 87 weight class). Uzo has chosen The Game as his entrance music. Stephan Letter has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Stephan Letter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jay Uzo!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, William Gold and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uzo throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Letter throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A nice inside leg kick there by Uzo. That's going to slow Letter down.
Letter throws out a loose jab but Uzo uses good head movement to avoid it.
Letter moves out of range as Uzo strikes.
It looked like Letter was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Letter on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Uzo sizes up Letter with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Uzo throws a hook to the side of Letter's head but Letter sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Letter connects with a high kick.
Letter waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Uzo.
Nice cross by Uzo.
Letter scores with a spinning back kick!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Letter stalks Uzo and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Uzo's face. Uzo staggers backwards, shaken.
Uzo throws a low kick, looking for Letter's leg but Letter calmly moves out of range.
Letter misses the shot to the body.
Letter has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A big right from Uzo misses.
Uzo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Letter sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Uzo swings away with a body shot that misses
and Letter counters with a series of strikes. Uzo will be more careful next time no doubt.
Uzo throws a jab but it's blocked by Letter.
Uzo does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Uzo connects with a single shot there.
Uzo lands a lovely overhand right.
Uzo waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Letter.
Jay Uzo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Letter looks to land a combination but Uzo avoids it well.
Letter tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Uzo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Nice defenses there by Letter.
Letter blocks a jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Letter throws a sloppy head kick and Uzo moves out of range easily.
A big left from Uzo misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Letter avoids the body shot from Uzo.
Letter looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
A swing and a miss from Uzo.
Letter thows a left - swing and a miss!
Letter walks into a jab.
Letter throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
A punch combination from Letter misses.
Letter lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Uzo circles away quickly and effectively.
A swing and a miss from Uzo.
Uzo lands with a hook. Letter tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Letter checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Uzo scores with a jab to the body.
Uzo bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Uzo keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.


Letter is rocked!
Uzo throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Oh Letter is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Uzo cracks Letter on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Letter falls backwards against the cage. Uzo follows up with more strikes that drop Letter to his knees. Uzo keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Letter! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jay Uzo!
An out of breath and clearly excited Jay Uzo thanked IniTech Nutrition for their help and support (and free stuff they sent him).
