Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joey Johnson (ranked 4636 p4p, 526 weight class) and Ronaldinho Gaucho (ranked 5496 p4p, 571 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Johnson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Welcome to the jungle. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joey Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ronaldinho Gaucho!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A right-left combo lands from Johnson.
It looks like Ronaldinho Gaucho has been cut.
Gaucho tries to clinch but Johnson moves out of range.
Johnson throws a head kick but Gaucho moves out of range.
Johnson throws a leg kick
and Gaucho finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Gaucho closes the distance looking to clinch
and Johnson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Johnson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gaucho moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Johnson moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Gaucho closes the distance but Johnson moves to the side
and Johnson counters with a three punch combo that has Gaucho backing up. Gaucho nods at Johnson to acknowledge the strikes.
Gaucho is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Johnson keeps the fight on the outside.
Johnson fires out a quick counter leg kick but Gaucho just manages to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A looping hook to the body misses from Johnson. Gaucho does a little dance to reset his feet.
The fighters circle momentarily. Johnson darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Ronaldinho Gaucho is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gaucho moves to clinch but Johnson breaks away
and Johnson counters with a crisp one two that drops Gaucho! Johnson thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Gaucho to his feet! Gaucho is in big trouble!
Gaucho is still on wobbly legs! Can Johnson finish him?
A left and a right from Gaucho both land. Nice combination.
Gaucho seems to have recovered his senses.
Gaucho fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Johnson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Oooooh!!! Johnson has knocked Gaucho down with a huge combo! Johnson steps away and waves a wobbly Gaucho back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
That has opened up Ronaldinho Gaucho's cut even more.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gaucho wants to clinch
and Johnson counters with a stiff right hand.
Johnson plants his feet and throws a brutal three punch combo that sends Gaucho swiftly into unconsciousness! Right, left, right! Boom, boom, boom! Gaucho face plants, battered and bloodied! He might never be the same again after that finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Joey Johnson!
After winning the bout, Joey Johnson thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
