Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edmundo Ware (ranked 24770 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hivahe Remore (ranked 5340 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Edmundo Ware!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hivahe Remore!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Chris Saunders and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Remore gets a double leg takedown into Ware's guard.
Remore content to stall in guard here.
Ware not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Ware keeping moving, preventing Remore from controlling successfully.
Remore loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Ware working for a triangle but Remore defends it easily.
Remore is looking to work some ground and pound but Ware has wrist control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Remore wants to control from the top but Ware keeps moving.
Remore is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Remore working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Remore postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Remore slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Remore.
Ware is trying to control Remore's posture but Remore avoids it.

Remore tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Remore creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Ware tries to buck Remore off but Remore is having none of it.
Ware throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
Ware is trying to control Remore's posture but Remore avoids it.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ware is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Remore is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Remore decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Remore looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Ware!
Remore takes a little break here. Ware wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Remore looks up at the clock and then as Ware takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Remore smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
You can see the frustration on Ware's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Remore wants to control but Ware is keeping him busy.

Remore is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ware is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Ware wants to control but Remore postures up.

Remore stands up and beckons Ware to his feet.
Remore throws a shot to the body.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Ware shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Remore manages to escape and get back to his feet!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hivahe Remore dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Ware closes the distance and clinches up with Remore, looking for a takedown. Ware pushes Remore against the cage but Remore circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Remore misses the body punch
and Ware counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Remore has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Remore throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ware was covering up waiting for the punch and Remore finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Remore stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ware swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Remore is in close to Ware's body, working some short punches and elbows.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Remore is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Ware is looking for a triangle but Remore pushes his legs off easily.

Remore avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Remore is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Remore has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Remore chips away with some ground and pound.
Remore trying to stand up but can't free himself from Ware's guard.
Ware wants to sweep here but Remore controlling him for the moment.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Ware is pulling down on Remore's head to control his posture.
Remore is looking to work some ground and pound but Ware has wrist control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Remore stopping the sweep attempt from Ware.

Hivahe Remore is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Remore shoots in and bounces Ware off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Ware has Remore pulled in close to control his posture.

Remore stands up and waves to Ware to follow him.
Ware throws a head kick that misses.
Ware keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Remore throws a sloppy head kick and Ware moves out of range easily.
Remore throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ware tries to counter by clinching up but Remore breaks away and moves out of range.
Remore throws a right and a left that both miss.
Remore is breathing heavily.

Ware changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Remore tries to avoid it but Ware manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Remore to the ground. Remore escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Remore fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ware sprawls well initially but Remore persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hivahe Remore showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Remore misses with a jab, cross combination.
And Ware counters with a quick kick to the body but Remore blocks it.

Remore rushes Ware and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Remore tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Ware tries to pull guard but Remore won't allow it.
Remore displaying some good clinch control by pressing Ware up against the cage.

Remore gets control of Ware's arms and successfully pulls guard. Remore will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Remore is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

A nice leg kick lands there from Remore.
Ware throws a wild body kick that Remore sees coming a mile off.

Remore clinches up against the cage.

Ware's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ware darts in looking for a takedown but Remore gets double underhooks and turns Ware into the cage.

Remore is thwarting Ware's attempts to control the position.
Hivahe Remore has got the better of the ground game so far.

Ware is not content to let Remore control the position.
Remore takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Ware actively working from the bottom here.
Ware trying to control from the bottom.
Remore is keen to just control but Ware is a slippery customer.
Ware is trying to control but can't.
Remore winds up and cracks Ware with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Ware is looking to control Remore's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ware avoid being mounted?

Ware throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Remore slows the pace down in half guard.
Ware is trying to control but can't.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Remore is looking to regain half guard here but Ware keeps moving and retains side control.
Edmundo Ware has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Hivahe Remore is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Ware will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Remore takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Well Remore has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
