The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dar shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Ortaga counters with a nice body shot.
Dar with a lazy takedown attempt
and Ortaga counters with a straight right hand.
Ortaga cracks Dar with a right hand to the side of the head.
Dar throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ortaga's waist but Ortaga gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dar off to one side.

Dar moves forwards but Ortaga connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Ortaga fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Alvaro Ortaga seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice uppercut lands for Ortaga. That snapped Dar's head back.
