Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between The Sigit (ranked 265 p4p, 38 weight class) and Chiku Maneno (ranked 727 p4p, 96 weight class). Sigit comes to the cage accompanied by Gie. The Sigit had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 42 - 26 - 2, fighting out of New York, The Sigit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 43 - 26 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chiku Maneno!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and William Peck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sigit shoots in looking for a takedown. Maneno tries to sprawl out of it but Sigit keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Maneno manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Maneno appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Sigit takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Sigit bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Sigit shoots in for a double leg but Maneno sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Maneno let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Maneno displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sigit.

Maneno connects with the punch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Maneno throws a body punch but Sigit moves out of range.

Sigit changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Maneno looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Maneno is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Sigit is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Maneno has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Maneno!
Maneno won't allow Sigit to sweep him here.

Maneno is looking to stand up but Sigit won't let him.
Sigit looking to hit a scissor sweep but Maneno is one step ahead there.
Maneno would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Sigit working for a triangle but Maneno defends it easily.

Sigit is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Maneno wants to get up but he can't break Sigit's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Maneno avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sigit looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Maneno has picked Sigit up and slammed him! Sigit can't keep hold of the triangle and Maneno manages to pass to side control!
Sigit gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Sigit wants to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like Maneno is going to stand back up.

Maneno stands up and beckons Sigit to join him on the feet.

Maneno throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Maneno has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Sigit steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Maneno.
Sigit half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Sigit looks for a takedown but Maneno sprawls well.
Sigit shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Maneno as he jumps to the side.
Sigit shoots for a double leg takedown but Maneno sprawls well. He's pushed Sigit's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Sigit decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Maneno's guard.

Sigit works a leg free and moves into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sigit is nestled in close to Maneno, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Maneno is trying to stand.
Sigit is looking to advance position but Maneno won't allow it.
Sigit stops Maneno from getting back to his feet.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Maneno throws a body shot but no joy.
Horrible takedown attempt by Sigit or perhaps it was just good defense by Maneno, which made it look bad.
Maneno lands with an uppercut that bounces Sigit off the cage and back into range.

It looks like The Sigit has been cut.
Maneno bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Sigit's head.
Maneno throws a body punch but Sigit moves out of range.
Maneno lands a nice looking body shot.
Maneno scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Chiku Maneno seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Sigit bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Sigit looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Sigit throws a looping overhand right but Maneno ducks down to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sigit tries to clinch up.
Maneno smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Maneno throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sigit moves in looking to clinch but Maneno pushes him off.

and Maneno counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Sigit walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Sigit misses with a takedown attempt
and Maneno counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Maneno thuds a left hand into Sigit's body.
Sigit needs to keep his hands up - Maneno had a free shot at his head there.
Sigit moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Maneno has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Maneno lands with a good body shot.
Maneno throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Maneno drops Sigit with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Sigit looks back up at him and smiles so Maneno waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Sigit is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Maneno darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Sigit's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Maneno before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
