Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Clifford Bonner (ranked 24320 p4p, 0 weight class) and Snabb Ast (ranked 5205 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Clifford Bonner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Snabb Ast!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Bonner misses with a takedown

and Ast counters with a shoot takedown. Bonner fights it but they end up in guard.
Bonner can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ast controls the pace.

Ast is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bonner could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Ast's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Bonner is looking for a sweep.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Let's hope that Ast has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

and Ast decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bonner's guard.
Ast is pushing down on Bonner's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bonner is fighting to maintain full guard but Ast has managed to sneak the leg through.

Bonner has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Snabb Ast showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Ast tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Ast remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Ast has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Ast.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bonner is looking for a sweep.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Snabb Ast comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Ast has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
