Ray has chosen Indestructable - Disturbed as his entrance music. Marshall Teach could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to CJ Ray's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marshall Teach!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, CJ Ray!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksandr Martynov and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ray looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Teach went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Ray misses with a combination
and Teach counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Ray throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
A head kick misses from Ray.
An attempted straight right counter from Teach misses the target.
Ray looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Ray fails with a takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Teach avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Ray tries to close the distance and clinch but Teach swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ray throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Teach sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A little feinted left hand from Teach on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Ray misses with a double jab.
Ray lunges at Teach with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Teach's hand.
Ray throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ray feints a jab promting Teach to slip. Ray then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Teach slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Ray throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ray has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.

Oooooh!!! Ray has knocked Teach down with a huge combo! Ray steps away and waves a wobbly Teach back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ray shoots for a double leg takedown but Teach sprawls well. He's pushed Ray's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Teach throws a big counter combination but Ray scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ray can do anything to dispel that myth.

Teach uses his free foot to push down on Ray's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Ray.
Ray is squirming around, avoiding Teach's attempts to control the action.
BOOM! Teach connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Teach is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Ray has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Ray!
