The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns looks to land a combination but Advance avoids it well.
Advance lands with a nice combination. Burns backs away looking to recover.
Burns throws a shot from downtown. Advance moves away and avoids it.
Advance lands the left hand.
Burns waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Advance.
Burns throws a combination. Advance tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

It looks like Lance Advance has been cut.
Advance displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Burns throws out the jab.
Advance tries to counter with a takedown but Burns is quick to defend against it.
Burns just misses with a punch to the body.

Burns moves forwards but Advance connects with a nice, crisp jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Advance bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Advance ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Nice takedown defense from Burns. No joy for Advance on that attempt.
Advance shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Burns as he avoids it easily.

Advance wants to work for an arm triangle but Burns is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Advance is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Burns is just riding it out for now. Advance eventually gives up the hold.

Advance seems to be looking for submissions.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Burns can do anything to dispel that myth.

Burns felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
