Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Buford Castro (ranked 5184 p4p, 0 weight class) and Owen Webb (ranked 6871 p4p, 0 weight class). Owen Webb will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Buford Castro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Owen Webb!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Winston Howard and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Webb fails to land with a series of punches.
Buford Castro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Webb has Castro up against the cage in a clinch.
Webb tries to break the clinch but Castro is controlling the position.
Castro goes for a takedown in the clinch but Webb prevents it.
Castro tries to score a body lock takedown but Webb shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Castro drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Webb gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Buford Castro. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Castro changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Webb fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Webb has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Castro closes the distance but Webb moves to the side
and Webb connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Castro tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Webb paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Castro forces Webb back against the cage and clinches.
Webb wants to get back to striking at distance but Castro won't allow it.
Castro has Webb pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Webb manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Castro breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Webb connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Castro tumbling to the canvas! Webb pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Castro was done - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Owen Webb!
