The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beukeboom lands a really nice looking cross but Prince seems unphased.
Beukeboom swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Prince drops his hands momentarily and Beukeboom takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Beukeboom scores with a nice right hand.
Beukeboom has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Temp Spar Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Prince takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Prince moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Beukeboom lands a lovely overhand right.
A big left from Beukeboom misses.
Prince is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Beukeboom throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Prince's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Beukeboom dives in looking to finish as Prince flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Beukeboom's strikes! Beukeboom is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Prince's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Prince was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
