Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Alvaroo (ranked 4889 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hatfield McCoy (ranked 3300 p4p, 364 weight class). McCoy is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Dueling Banjos. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eddie Alvaroo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
12 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hatfield McCoy!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Ron Honeybunn and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCoy throws a shot to the body.
Eddie Alvaroo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alvaroo misses with an attempted mid kick.
McCoy moves into range and clinches up with Alvaroo.
McCoy stalling in the clinch.
McCoy lands with a short shot to the head.
Alvaroo jumps guard but McCoy turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Alvaroo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
McCoy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
McCoy darts in and clinches Alvaroo up against the cage.
McCoy is pressed up against the cage. Alvaroo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag McCoy down to the mat. McCoy avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Alvaroo has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from McCoy.

and McCoy counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eddie Alvaroo. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and McCoy counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Alvaroo misses with a takedown
and McCoy counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Alvaroo dives in and grabs McCoy's left leg, looking for a takedown. McCoy pushes down on Alvaroo's head and hops out.
McCoy scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Alvaroo is rocked!
McCoy walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Alvaroo drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! McCoy swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Alvaroo's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hatfield McCoy!
During a confident post fight interview, Hatfield McCoy thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
