The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duplant jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Hurst moves away from the strike by Duplant.

Duplant throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hurst was covering up waiting for the punch and Duplant finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Hurst is looking to stand back up but Duplant counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Hurst.

Duplant is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hurst doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Duplant.

Duplant goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Hurst turns into him and now he's in Duplant's guard.

Hurst knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Duplant on the ground.
Hurst pushes Duplant off looking to stand but Duplant dives back in and keeps control.

Duplant seems to be working for a kimura but Hurst defends the submission attempt.
Still in half guard, Duplant seems content to control.

Hurst is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Duplant pulls his head out easily.
Well, if Duplant is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
