The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson connects with an inside leg kick.
Anderson throws a head kick that misses.
Alviso throws a jab but it's blocked by Anderson.
Anderson wants to clinch.
Alviso looks for a takedown but Anderson sprawls well.

Alviso fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Anderson sprawls well initially but Alviso persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Anderson is looking to improve his position.
Alviso throws a strike but Anderson avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Alviso won't allow Anderson to get back to his feet.
Alviso postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Anderson keeping moving, preventing Alviso from controlling successfully.
