Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jon Jones (ranked 5295 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tesseract SevenStrings (ranked 5329 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. SevenStrings was covering up waiting for the punch and Jones finishes the takedown easily into guard.
SevenStrings wants to get back to his feet but Jones passes into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones is figuring out what he wants to do next.

SevenStrings is trying to stand back up but Jones is controlling him
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks SevenStrings with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Jones lands strikes from half guard.
Jones will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

It looks like Tesseract SevenStrings has been cut.

That has opened up Tesseract SevenStrings's cut even more.

Jones is nestled in close to SevenStrings, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Jones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

SevenStrings has hold of Jones 's hands but Jones slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

The cut above Tesseract SevenStrings's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Tesseract SevenStrings's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Tesseract SevenStrings's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
