The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reed scores with the left hand. Charles knows he should have avoided that one.
Charles tries to clinch there but Reed circles away.
Charles moves away from the strike by Reed.

Reed closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Reed throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Charles wants to control but Reed postures up.
Reed really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Charles. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Charles tries to buck Reed off but Reed is having none of it.

Reed goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Charles has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Reed but great work by Charles.

Reed is trying to get back to his feet.

Reed explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Charles slips a straight right by Reed.
Reed scores with a nice head shot.
Reed misses with an uppercut. Charles saw that one coming.
As Reed tries to get set, Charles tries to push him back and clinch up but Reed manages to avoid the attempt.

Reed scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Reed decides to stand up, so the ref orders Charles to his feet.
Reed avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
It seemed like Reed was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Charles forces Reed back against the cage and clinches.
Charles tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Reed smiles and moves away.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Charles slips under a jab.

A jab from Reed misses.
Reed keeps the fight on the outside.
Reed steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Charles.
Charles moves away from the strike by Reed.
Reed lands the left hand.

Reed feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Charles sprawling to the canvas! Charles rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Reed finish him?!

Charles is rocked!
Charles walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Reed! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!

A less than humble Danny Reed misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
