The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Motts forces Moraes back against the cage and clinches.

Motts breaks the clinch.
Moraes throws an overhand right that lands on Motts's shoulder, as Motts tries to avoid the shot.
A big left from Moraes misses.
Jab from Motts.
Motts tries to score with a low kick but Moraes moves his leg out of the way.
Motts tries to close the distance and clinch but Moraes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
It looked like Moraes wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Motts tries to clinch up.
Motts throws the kick towards the body but Moraes avoids it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A head kick misses from Motts.
Moraes throws a body shot but no joy.

Motts dives in and scores a takedown into Moraes's guard.
Motts throws a big right hand that misses.
Moraes could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Motts is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Moraes has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Motts is looking to defend but Moraes has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Motts! Moraes pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Motts taps out and this one is all over!
