Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael Swango (ranked 743 p4p, 103 weight class) and Guido Turturro (ranked 2289 p4p, 287 weight class). Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Michael Swango!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Guido Turturro!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Topper Green and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Turturro has closed the distance and engaged Swango in a clinch.
Turturro is trying to pull guard but Swango has him pressed against the cage.
Swango really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Swango breaks the clinch.
Turturro wants to clinch
and Swango cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.


It looks like Guido Turturro has been cut.
Swango lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Turturro tries to clinch up but Swango circles away and keeps his distance.

Turturro pushes Swango up against the cage in a clinch.
Swango can't break the clinch.

Swango breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Turturro moves into the clinch successfully.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Turturro.
Turturro jumps guard but Swango stands there with Turturro around his waist. Turturro gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Guido Turturro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Turturro tries to close the distance and clinch up but Swango swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Swango seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
The crowd cheers as Swango lands an impressive looking overhand right. Turturro doesn't seem phased though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Turturro manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Turturro controls Swango momentarily but Swango frees himself.

Turturro is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Swango is aware though and is defending well.

Swango knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Turturro on the ground.

Swango got a little sloppy there for a moment and Turturro has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Swango has managed to get both his arms back between Turturro's legs - danger averted.

Turturro has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Swango is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Turturro.

Swango scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Turturro doesn't seem bothered though.

Turturro pushes a forearm under Swango's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Swango is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
