Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between King Kong (ranked 5043 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Speights (ranked 4234 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, King Kong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jay Speights!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Kong looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Speights feints the counter takedown.

Kong closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Speights to the mat! Speights manages to get full guard.
Kong loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Speights pushes Kong off looking to stand but Kong dives back in and keeps control.

Kong looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Kong wants to stand but Speights has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Kong is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's time! Kong's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Kong throws a body shot but no joy.
Speights steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Kong.
King Kong is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kong changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Speights tries to avoid it but Kong manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Speights to the ground. Speights escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Speights has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kong uses from the top position.

Speights throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kong works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Kong wants to sweep here but Speights controlling him for the moment.

Speights is pushing down on Kong's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kong is fighting to maintain full guard but Speights has managed to sneak the leg through.

Kong is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Speights's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Speights's back!

Speights really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kong is looking for the choke from the back position but Speights is controlling his hands well.

King Kong dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Kong tries to control Speights's head but Speights pushes him back down and moves quickly to lock up an arm here - he's swung around for an armbar! Will he get it??? Yes! Kong is tapping out! Lovely Jiu Jitsu there!
