Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nate Dillinger (ranked 3790 p4p, 438 weight class) and Ollie OCallaghan (ranked 6377 p4p, 573 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ollie OCallaghan!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Shimada and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dillinger checks the leg kick nicely there.
OCallaghan misses with a hook

and Dillinger counters by clinching up.
Dillinger works on OCallaghan's body with a couple of short punches.
OCallaghan misses with a short punch on the inside.
OCallaghan throws a punch but it's blocked by Dillinger.
Dillinger works on OCallaghan's body with a couple of short punches.
OCallaghan misses with a hook from the clinch.
OCallaghan tries to circle away but Dillinger has him pinned against the cage.
OCallaghan tries to pull guard but Dillinger holds him up against the cage and eventually OCallaghan drops back down to his feet.
Dillinger stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Dillinger definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Dillinger counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Dillinger.

OCallaghan tries to pull guard but Dillinger won't allow it.
Dillinger lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Dillinger is pushing OCallaghan up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Dillinger lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt OCallaghan or not.
Dillinger makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Dillinger pushes OCallaghan back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that OCallaghan has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

OCallaghan wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Dillinger stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Dillinger will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning OCallaghan up against the cage.
OCallaghan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
OCallaghan closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Nate Dillinger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ollie OCallaghan.

Dillinger's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Dillinger for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

OCallaghan misses with a head kick.
OCallaghan tries to move into range but Dillinger moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Dillinger lands a nice looking body shot.

and Dillinger counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Nate Dillinger is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
OCallaghan takes one to the side of the head.

Dillinger cracks OCallaghan with a right hand to the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
OCallaghan takes a jab right on the kisser.
OCallaghan is still on wobbly legs! Can Dillinger finish him?

As OCallaghan tries to get set, Dillinger tries to push him back and clinch up but OCallaghan manages to avoid the attempt.

and Dillinger counters with a two punch combo.
Dillinger swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by OCallaghan.
OCallaghan walks straight into a right hand from Dillinger - that's dropped him! Dillinger jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save OCallaghan from any more punishment! OCallaghan complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Nate Dillinger!
During a confident post fight interview, Nate Dillinger thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
