Anderson comes to the cage accompanied by So Tem Jogador. Sammy Anderson had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Thiago Cunha and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Wannabe counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Anderson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wannabe tries to avoid it but Anderson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wannabe to the ground. Wannabe escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Wannabe plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Wannabe connects with a leg kick. Anderson looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Wannabe dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wannabe clinches up with Anderson and pushes him back against the cage.
Wannabe misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Wannabe using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Anderson has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wannabe misses with the head strike.
Wannabe taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

Wannabe misses with a short punch on the inside.
Wannabe landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Anderson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sammy Anderson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Anderson gets control of Wannabe's arms and successfully pulls guard. Anderson will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Anderson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Wannabe gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Anderson is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Wannabe frees his head nicely. Oh but Anderson has switched to an armbar! Wannabe is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
