Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shukman Gill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brutalis Rhino!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gill takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Gill darts in looking for a takedown but Rhino gets double underhooks and turns Gill into the ropes.
Rhino throws out a counter right but Gill avoids it with no problem.
Rhino misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rhino looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
A head kick misses from Rhino.
Rhino listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.

Rhino shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Rhino was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Rhino is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Gill sneaks back into half guard.
Gill is pressing down on Rhino's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Rhino trying to control the position from guard on top but Gill is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Rhino drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Gill dives on top into guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gill passes easily into side control. Nice work.
You can see the frustration on Rhino's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Gill looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Gill working away.
Rhino is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Gill has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Gill wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rhino keeps working.

Gill has hold of Rhino's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Rhino seems comfortable defending it but Gill has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Rhino is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Rhino is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Gill couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Shukman Gill!
During a confident post fight interview, Shukman Gill thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
