And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 49 - 51 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Suren Nazarethyan!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Anthony Taglia and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left and a right from Choi both land. Nice combination.
Nazarethyan defending well as Choi loads up on a big left hand.
Choi lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Nazarethyan keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Nazarethyan moves away from the strike by Choi.
Choi misses with a left hand
and Nazarethyan counters with a left and a right that stings Choi.
Nazarethyan throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Choi was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
DooHo Choi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Choi counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Choi sizes up Nazarethyan with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Choi throws a hook but Nazarethyan blocks it.

Nazarethyan shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Choi is trying to defend but Nazarethyan finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

That was a close round but I would say that DooHo Choi will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Choi swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Choi misses the shot to the body.
Choi throws a jab but it's blocked by Nazarethyan.

The crowd cheers as Choi lands an impressive looking overhand right. Nazarethyan doesn't seem phased though.

Choi lands a big head kick that sends Nazarethyan tumbling to the mat! Choi takes a step backwards and waves Nazarethyan back to his feet - he wants the finish!


It looks like Suren Nazarethyan has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Choi drops Nazarethyan with a huge uppercut! Nazarethyan drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Choi is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). DooHo Choi!
A relieved looking DooHo Choi thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
Suren Nazarethyan spoke after the fight, saying 'I Will Come Back Stronger Than Before'.
